the shooting of Charmed is a really tough job for the actresses because of the schedule? A normal day for them is 6am to 7pm! So to have more time to sleep in the morning, Holly often goes to the studios wearing her pajamas! Paramount has confirmed the season date of November 15. The 6 disc set will contain all 22 episodes (952 mins) from the final season starring Shannon Doherty.
Season 3 DVD will have no extras!! Just like the other 2. The reason is because of Shannen Doherty (Prue) I'm guessing. So I am hoping at least dvds season 4+ will have extras.
It'll be released earlier in other countries that isn't North America. I don't know Why it just is.

the 1st season cover. i alrdy did a post on it, and it doesn't seem to be worth buying though. it has NO EXTRAS, THE QUALITY OF THE video and audio wereN'T THAT GREAT compared to other tv dvd sets. CHARMED DESERVES BETTER! here we are waiting for it to come out and we finally get it and it's not even that WORTH IT.

 Originally in the Charmed's UNAIRED PILOT,
(unaired pilot was like the episode beofre the 1st episode of charmed
of season 1) Lori Rom was cast as Phoebe Halliwell, but she decided not
to do the show for personal reasons so Alyssa Milano took the role of
Phoebe and appeared in the AIRED PILOT. (aired pilot if episode 1 of charmed aka Something Wicca This Way Comes)
COINCIDENTALLY, Alyssa has the same b-day as Lori, December 19, 1972
You have to download the UNAIRED Pilot episode of Charmed to see Lori Rom playing Phoebe & some of us can't. BUT
you can still see lori in action playing Sister Mary Pius in
HOUSE M.D. (A medical drama/suspense/mystery/and a little comedy).
Sorta ironic, she played a WITCH in Charmed and now she's playing a NUN in House.

A new take on mystery, where the v illain
is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor

Dr.

critical case of the unknown sickness. The team will make the
diagnosis, legal-or-not and just about everything they can think of to
save their patients' lives and not have to put another one in a
bodybag. But through all of this drama, Dr. House and the crew still
keep their comical side and crack a few jokes, to entertain themselves
or their patients, but that's just how Dr. House is.

THE DIFFRENCES BETWEEN the UNAIRED AND THE AIRED PILOTS!!!
The Script for the Pilot episode with Lori & The Script of the 1st episode /w Alyssa
This
unaired pilot is basically the same as the first episode "Something
Wicca This Ways Comes" except for the characters Phoebe and Andy were
portrayed by different actors.
* There is no character of Darryl in this version.
* The song played at the end of this episode is Julian McMahon's favorite song, People Are Strange.
* The attic set had a change of decoration: there was a large pole in the middle of the attic in this episode only.
*
Many scenes from the aired version do not appear in this episode
because they need about 15 minutes worth of scenes more to fill up the
timeslot.
*There were at least three interesting pieces about
this version over what was later braodcast as "Something Wicca This Way
Comes."
*This piece of info was lost in this pilot as Phoebe is
a much stronger and smarter character than Prue. Next we have the
painful fact of Lori Rom appearing to be nearly a full head taller than
 Doherty or Combs. There was no way this could work.
And
lastly, the character of Andy as played by Chris Boyd had no spark to
it, either as a police Lieutenant (not Inspector) or as a love interest
for Prue. While the strong performances By Doherty and combs are stand
out and did make it into the revised pilot, the chemistry that Alyssa
Milano added to this series is what made it work.
PLUS IF LORI ROM stayed and played phoebe halliwell then SHANNEN DOHERTY could STILL be there PLAYING PRUE! I mean Shanen left at the end of season 3 because she didn't get along with ALYSSA MILANO. OR Charmed might have not as been succesful. I'm just glad they made the change, since Alyssa is just better.
